Within the preparatory activities for the preparation of Joint action plan of Križevci and Zalakaros cyclotourism development, two joint workshops were held gathering the representatives of the Town of Križevci and the Town of Zalakaros, with the aim to establish common potentials for the further development of cyclotourism. The workshop in Križevci was held on Monday 10th September 2018 on the topic “Existing cyclotourism infrastructure in Križevci and plans for further development and positioning”. The most important activity that the Town of Križevci conducts within the project “Cyclo-Net” refers to the execution of works on the construction and modernization of bicycle paths, bicycle bridge and section of the access road to the viewing point, therefore, from the very beginning of the implementation of the project, Town of Križevci started the preparatory activities in connection to the necessary documentation for the implementation of the public procurement procedure for carrying out the above mentioned works. On Saturday 16th June 2018, as a part of the “Cyclo-Net” project, cycling event called “Ox cycling event” was held, bringing together more than 50 participants. The cycling event was organized by the Town of Križevci and the Križevci Association of Cyclists and was also included in the programme of the 51st Križevci Festival. The route was driven on the relation Križevci – Kalnik – Gornja Rijeka – Križevci. The total length of the route was 45 kilometers and it was a demanding configuration route. For all the participants, upon return to Križevci traditional Festival lunch – roasted ox was organized within the catering providers participating at Križevci Festival.

As part of the Cyclo-Net project, on Thursday 3rd May 2018, a forum on the topic “Križevci on the map of the national network of bicycle routes” was held in the Tourism Information Centre in Križevci. The participants of the forum were Zoran Klarić from the Institute for Tourism, Marko Černelić from the Cycling Union, Head of the Department for Economy, Communal Services and Agriculture in the County of Koprivnica-Križevci Marijan Štimac, Assistant Director of the Tourist Board of the Koprivnica-Križevci County Kristina Sočev and Town of Križevci Deputy Mayor Danijel Šaško, while the moderator of the forum was EuroVelo coordinator Marko Stančić. On Tuesday 21st November 2017 the opening conference of the project “Cyclo-Net – Extension of cross-border cyclotourism networks through development of capillary bicycle paths in Križevci and Zalakaros”, approved for co-financing by the European Union on the first call for proposals within the Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020, was held in the Multimedia Cultural Centre in Križevci. The conference was opened by the Mayor of Town of Križevci Mario Rajn, who emphasized the importance of this project for the development of Križevci in terms of improving infrastructure and programmes that will attract visitors and also improve the quality of life of the local population. On Monday 06.11.2017 Subsidy Contract was signed in Križevci for the implementation of the project Cyclo-Net, approved for financing by the European Union within the first call for proposals of the Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020. In front of the Town of Križevci, as the Lead Beneficiary of the project, the Contract was signed by the Mayor Mario Rajn, while the Mayor of the Project Partner Town of Zalakaros Ferenc Novák also attended the Contract signing ceremony.
