The web page is a part of the project ''BA Biking – By Bicycle from Balaton to the Adriatic'' with co-financing from the European Union under the IPA Cross-Border Program for Hungary-Croatia, 2007-2013.

Here you can find all of the information about the project BA Biking, which is being carried out by the City of Križevci and the District of Balatonszemes, its goals, activities and events, and the activities of the Križevci Association of Bicyclists, which organizes gatherings of bicyclists and recreational rides and actively promotes bicycling the Križevci region.

Third bicycling recreational event visited by around 120 participants

On Sunday 12th July 2015 third out of several bicycling recreational events in Križevci was organized within the EU project ”On the bike from Balaton to Adriatic”. After gathering and registration of participants in the park in the former military complex in Križevci, colon with organizers from Križevci Association of Bicyclists has started the route through Sveta Helena, Glogovnica, Ivanec Križevački and Veliki Potočec. Third bicycling recreational event has been visited by around 120 participants. The event has been organized within the project ”On the bike from Balaton to Adriatic”, co-financied by the European Union through the IPA CBC Programme Hungary-Croatia 2007-2013, which is being implemeted by Town of Križevci and Municipality of Balatonszemes.

”The Bicycle in History” exhibition

On Friday, 12 June 2015 the exhibition ”The Bicycle in History” opened in the hall of the Tourist Information Centre in Križevci. Mr. Tomislav Katanović, the deputy mayor of Križevac, opened the exhibition by emphasizing the importance of the BA Biking Project to the city and by expressing his satisfaction with the organization of an exhibition with a new theme that had not been presented here. Professor Zoran Homen, who conceived and set up the exhibition, presented the exhibition materials and he also presented sketches and interesting sidelights of the history of bicycling in Križevac to visitors. The exhibition was open on Saturday, 13 June, and Sunday, 14 June, and was visited by about 270 people during the three-day period. […]

Second Bicycle Tour

On Sunday, 21 September 2014, the second of several planned bicycle tours was held as part of the EU project “By Bicycle from Balaton to the Adriatic.” After registration of the participants in the park on the main square – the Square of J.J. Strossmayer – the column of bicyclists led by the organizers from the Križevci Association of Bicyclists started off on a route from Križevci to Lake Čabraji, 11 kilometres in one direction. At the destination many activities were organized for the youngest participants, such as driving skill in cooperation with the Auto Moto Club of Križevci and sports and amusement attractions for all participants: orientation movement, Frisbee, badminton and a variety of games. First Bicycle Tour

On Sunday, 13 July 2014, the first of several planned bicycle tours was held in Križevci as part of the EU project “By Bicycle from Balaton to the Adriatic.” After registration of the participants in the park of the former military barracks, the column of bicyclists led by the organizers from the Križevci Association of Bicyclists started off on a route through Sveta Helena, Žibrinovac, Bočkovac and Gornja Vina. Press conference on the signing of the subsidization contract

In Križevci on 30 June 2014, the Contract on Subsidization was signed between the Administrative Office of the IPA Cross-Border Programmed of Hungary and Croatia and the City of Križevci for the project ”By Bicycle from Balaton to the Adriatic.” A press conference was also held. The press conference was moderated by Darko Masnec, the Director of the Administrative Department for the Economy and Finance, and also the project coordinator.
